<<Hey Gang,
Donna Mae Mims is in Marshalltown right now!!>>
How cool is that!!!

<<The poor thing has a broken foot and is in a little pain.>>
Now THAT stinks! Certainly something I can relate to...

<<Her Corvett's alternator quit working in the middle of the night somewhere
near the Casino and a couple of guys were helping her to push her car.
When one of them turned the steering wheel and she slipped and fell to the
ground.
Then somehow the car rolled over her foot and broke several bones and one
might require surgery.>>
Good grief! She should have been inside the car, and let the younger guys
push... poor gal ain't no spring chicken anymore, and it will take a long while
for that foot to heal... My heart really goes out to her.

<<She is staying one of the local motels here until the Mini starts.
We hope to get some crutches for her and also an electric cart>>
Those electric carts are great. I was at the mall in Elizabethtown with my
kids and they have one there to use. I was all over that place. Hopping around
on those crutches will wear a person OUT! And then there's STEPS.... don't get
me started on those steps!

<<Well that is enough for now.>>
Thanks for the update Tom. Let her know that we will be praying for a quick
recovery and minimal pain for her ordeal...
I'm waiting for my brace, and all I know is that it will be BIG.... a section
of it will go under my knee cap, and will support my leg through that, and
they will be using my old work boot, since they didn't have anything in a size
16... the sole of the boot will be replaced with a "rocker sole" since my heel
bone is fused to my leg bone with that rod they put in there.
I'm still not sure how it will work, but I'm sure they will show me.
Tom, just make sure you let her know that the "mobility challenged" members
of VV are thinking of her.
Take care, and have fun!
