Bill,
I flew in the Air Force. Flew the T-34, T-33, F-101, U-3A, A-37, and the
venerable old C-47. I have a privet pilots licensee but never transferred my
multi engine rating over to the FAA. I'm not a Ham but have flown R/C models
since 1963. I haven't flown full size craft in about 10 years so am no longer
current. I did fly the Cesena 150, 172, the Piper Cherokee 140, and the Beach
Bonanza. I do not have Corvairs because I am a pilot but because my wife
bought one for me to drive to work in 1969. It was a 61 Monza and I still have it.
I'm also an engineer and appreciated the engineering I found in the Corvair.
At one time I had 26 Corvairs but now am down to 6 and it's going to stay
that way.
