Reminds me of when I was a kid, spent a couple of weeks with my grandparents
in the summer. My grandpa showed us how to build a go-kart out of an old
lawnmower and odds and ends he had collected. Some kid from the
neighborhood (suburban Detroit) was saying the gokart wasn't all that cool.
Asked him where his gokart was..."Well, I don't have one, but if I did, it
would be better than yours"....A bird in the hand...

P.s. had the same kind of thoughts about the car display at the convention.
I think all the Corvairs in the parking lot should be in the display.
Unless there is a conflicting event, and I don't think there is, why not
put your car in the car display? I'd even contribute to a fund to pay the
entrance fee.
