<VV> blown electric fuses.

One point to ponder, these circuits work exactly the opposite of each other.
The dome light has 12V applied all the time. It lights when it gets a
ground either via the door switches or the headlight switch. The dash
lights ale constantly grounded and get 12V to turn on. I'd guess a chafe
somewhere these two circuits are getting together with either the 12V side
of the dash lights getting a ground via the door switches. As long as the
fuse is out, that circuit floats and doesn't go around blowing anything.
My best guess

<snip>Here is the background. the car is a 66 corsa coupe. If I have a
fuse
in the dome light slot everything on that circuit works fine. If I have a
fuse in the dash panel light slot, the dash lights work fine. If I have a
fuse
in both of them, when the dome light comes on the dash light fuse burns out
quickly, even when it is a 15 amp and not a 3 amp. I don't understand how
the
two could be connected in any way.... Any ideas on what is happening?
