This morning I was dreaming about how I would have spent my powerball
winnings (that I didn't win) and thoughts of the original H-6 engine
equipped car came to mind. I wondered if there were blueprints that
survived the Tucker faight of the '48. Now I am wondering if anybody in the
corvair group has any blueprints of our cars. Or like the last Corvair were
these destroyed by GM.

P.S. Here is the response from the Tucker Automobile Club of America on my
question of blueprints (thought it was interesting):

Keith,

Thanks for contacting the Tucker Automobile Club of America in regards to
blueprints. Last year at time I received an email followed by a phone call
from a young man (19ish) saying he had a lot of Tucker papers. It turned out
that his grandfather was an investigator for on of the Tucker attorneys and
he ended up with boxes of documents that he had saved.

The material had been stored in boxes in a garage about 5 blocks from the
Tucker factory and the caller's brother was asked to clean out the garage by
his aunt. When he went to dump the boxes one broke open to show the dark
blue paper of old blueprints and he was told he could not dump because of it
being considered hazardous waste. The older brother dumped the boxes in the
drive way of the and gave up. The younger brother opened one box and saw
blue prints that said Tucker Corporation on them. He new about the Tucker
car from his later grandpa and decided he would keep the stuff if nobody
wanted it.

When I visited him a year ago I discovered 110 boxes, totally approximately
60,000 blueprints, scattered through out his small appartment. A supporter
and stakeholder of the Tucker Historical Collection was able to purchase the
collection and it is currently being sorted and inventoried at a facility in
Washington, DC.

A very exciting find indeed!

Best Regards,
