i have in my collection of hard luck parts,a lifter that was broken apart by the pushrod when valve adjustment got to be too much for the guy. at least the snap ring only made it to the magnetic drain plug... i have seen motors destroyed by a snap ring that went thru the oil screen and to the bearings..(more than one) regards, tim colson
