Don't worry about being an early model lover, although it may not seem like it at times, we're actually a pretty open minded group here. Why there are even people here who welcome the sickos who put perfectly good Corvair engines into airplanes!! Now I don't cotton to that personally but as a group we welcome them. The only real requirement for acceptance by the group is an appreciation for anything Corvair. Of course the late model cars are the most deserving of praise but really, all Corvair-related activities have something going for them. So be proud of your early model perversion, you're not alone here and you are welcome as are all who appreciate in some way, the magnificent Corvair.

I rarely submit to this forum, although I thoroughly enjoy it and learn great
and varied things. Being an early aficionado I felt I had to reply to the
following:

OMG, THAT is a beautiful car. And it should be stated here that in general, I
feel that the early model is a visual abomination. But this particular one is
drop dead gorgeous. Is it the color combination? Maybe, hmmm... I may have to
rethink this early model business.

The worst Corvair of any age that I have ever seen was EXCELLENT

Larry
