Don't think it's a matter of freedom of speech, but more a matter of a
consolidated front, and I don't blame them. Having been one of the hosts at
a very successful convention (Williamsburg), I can understand what the 4
clubs are going through. I would imagine, and as stated previously, that
noone in those clubs are interested in hosting even a mini-convention again
for quite a while. When you get the type of very inflamitory remarks that
have been posted in this public arena, it's best to have a single, tempered,
point of contact for responses, otherwise you could be seeing the biggest
flame war in the history of VV, and it would likely result in the loss of a
lot of club members.

Actually, I have seen some gripes posted here, but nothing that is the end
of the world. In fact, I have heard a lot of people say some quite good
things about the whole affair, in any event, nothing worth getting worked
up about. It's all water over the falls <GGG>
I'm sure some just want to put it out of their minds for awhile.........and
I certainly cannot blame them for that. If there is ever another "Four
Clubs" event.........well that remains to be decided, small affairs are
much easier to handle, but total burnout may have been
achieved...............
Remember, a group of dedicated people sacrificed a LOT of their personal
time to put on this event, their lives were put on hold, and they have
contributed selflessly of their time and money to attend preparatory
meetings to do all of this..........overall, I still think they did good!
