I know we're not supposed to post "me too" posts here but I have to say I agree with JR on this. The 4 Clubs did a great job (given the constraints) and all the volunteers I delt with were very nice and helpfull. There were moments during the convention in which I was mad enough to spit (mostly hotel issues) but those feelings are already gone. I miss being at the convention, it was fun. Hey, they got the guys who built our engines to come talk to us. For that alone they have my undying gratitude.

I haven't read anything that directly accuses the 4 clubs of wrongdoing (although I may have missed it). I think most of us realize that it was (and always is) a complicated undertaking and so there are bound to be problems. I think sometimes people don't think it thru to think about why things were the way they were. There are constraints they have no control over. They tried new things and new things always have kinks that need to be worked out. There were people at the convention that were rude (in person no less) but I haven't seen any here on good ol' VV.

PS: freedom of speech really only applies to the government. Most private enterprises are free to limit speech as they see fit.

Just like when Garth won't let us say the rude things we really WANT to say!! ;)

It is just a shame that the 4 clubs feel the need to present a "consolidated
front" at all. They did an overall fine job. A glitch or two along the way
is normal and should be a learning experience - not a place to need to build
a wall for defense purposes.
