Can attest to the non-give. During a flying mishap (in a Corvette), the 
Snell rated Bell Magnum did protect but the pressure wave between my head 
and the helmet liner required 14 stitches to repair. Never did figure out 
just what my helmet hit, possibly the roll cage.
