Update on status of this project. I'm still waiting on pricing for a couple
of items, and looking into some plating/powdercoating options. If anyone
has a good source for dowel spacer stock, please let me know. I am looking
for round steel spacers 1/2" high with an outside diameter of 3/4" and an
inside diameter of 3/8" (enough to clear a 5/16" bolt). I would prefer to
buy spacers but will cut them from stock if I have to.

Assuming that these kits are priced at $20 plus shipping, the following
people have expressed interest in buying seat track extenders:

Let me know if I missed you or got your quantity wrong.

If people have said they would take a "pair" I assumed they meant a set,
which is actually four plates plus hardware. If that wasn't what you meant,
let me know and I will change the number. A set is enough to do one seat.
I know these will work on late buckets, I think they will work on late
benches, and I honestly don't know whether they will fit earlies at all.

The full parts list consists of four brackets, five bolts, five lock
washers, five nuts, two dowel spacers and installation instructions.

I did drive my car a bit with the kit installed before I restored it, and I
thought the seating position was more comfortable. The stock position
usually jams the driver's right knee into the shifter. This gives a little
more leg room and a bit more recline to the seat; that's what the dowel
spacers are for. You do sacrifice a little bit of rear seat room, and really
short drivers might not be able to move the seat forward enough. The
brackets come with two sets of holes, so that you can choose to have a bit
less extension if you prefer. Depending upon your carpet set, you may have
a bit of floorpan showing below the front edge of the seat when the seat is
fully back.

Once I have sets to sell, I will start accepting payment by PayPal.

I think at this point I will make 50 sets. If demand exceeds supply, I will
sell to people who indicated interest at this stage first, and to others on
a first come, first served basis. If there is a surplus they will go on
eBay with a higher reserve than what I am offering on VV. Now is the time
to let me know if I should make more, since I am only planning on doing this
once.

Thanks.
