I don't really care what people want to do with electirc fans. if someone thinks they're gonna throw one on and have it work right from the get go, then they are mistaken, and thats just plain common sense.

I'm one of the young guys. I'll be 20 in 13 days (the 23rd) and I've not been around Corvairs my whole, but at least old cars. I'm like Eric, I've got so much Corvair knowledge jammed into my brain it's a wonder I didn't knock out the file on how to write my name or speak. But thats alright.

All I can really say is, Eric is right. I too drive my Corvair all over. my 65 4 door. it's not really rusty, but the paint looks like hell, and I'm running on five cylinders right now cause I dropped a valve seat or something (not quite sure yet) and I have to still drive the car!

Just drive them. talk to young and old. Don't try to tell people it's the best, cause they aren't...most of us are just too stubborn to admit it in public. Just answer questions, tell good stories, and hand them a slip of paper with some websites or something on it. Tell em the cars are easy to find, cheap to restore compariavely, and handle very well. Show them videos if you can of the large number of Corvairs in SCCA or other racing groups...

I like my Corvair because it's different. it's like me. I almost never do anything the way I'm supposed to. Just because thats my way. maybe other people can dig on that, maybe not, but you never know til you get out there!
