<VV> Corsa interior trim question

Actually, the 65 had a thin strip of bare aluminum just inside the
rolled edge, but the edge itself is gray crinkle.  A picture is attached
(for everyone except VV).  If you'd like a better picture or the
dimensions of the bare area, let me know.  This is an original '65.

65 Corsa's had the metal exposed around the outer edge and guages. 66
Corsas
were crinkle on the outer edge with just the metal exposed around the
guages.

  I recently refinished a Corsa instrument panel and installed it in
my 66 Monza. I noticed that the metal panel itself was chromed or
somthing so that when painted with krinkle paint the outer edge was
to remain chrome. Is the same true of the panel which surrounds the
glove box on a Corsa? Thanks.
