Those were the daZe! My original owner 63 sn 00099 was the ungodly sum of
$800....you could buy them on the lots for $695...all day long....

Parts?? Never being a truck person....I finally got to where no one had
a loaner any longer...all being use to go to the desert / river....GRRRR!

Bought a 1966 Calif. State 1/2 ton Chevy that some MC has poked it in the
side.... 230-6 pg / 3.73's $35 at auction..

Already paid $50 for a 61 300hp 327 / pg.......so in it went..........still
not enough power.....so I looked in the paper and bought a 375hp
396..$300!!!! had to pull it out of the car......guy had gotten too many tickets....and
had wrecked the Dana Camaro it came in.....sold the 327 to his neighbor..who
came over and we did the swaps together...all 3 of us!

So I ended up with a truck for under $500......that would pull like a rocket
sled.............oh and gas was only $0.35@ gal .still!
