As a Ford employee up to 2/18/06, I probably had
access to more "credible" info than just about anyone
here.  Unless they changed their mind in the mean
time, I can tell you for a fact that the following
plants were scheduled for a PERMANENT closure at some
point in the future:

Twin Cities (St. Paul- Ranger)
Wixom (Detroit- Lincoln)
Atlanta (Taurus)
Norfolk (F-150)
(There are others, but those come to mind right now)

Norfolk may be on the list for a temporary closure
this year (along with nearly every other Ford plant),
but its days are definitely numbered.  Which is a
shame, as a lot of great people work there.
