Interesting as I find the Corvettes easy to drive fast and never a handful though very different from the Corvair.  Due to it's modified nature for SCCA Solo2, the vette is pretty loud, but date cars haven't been an issue with me for decades so I generally haven't worried about outside evaluations.  I just drive it and enjoy it.  Same with the Corvair.
