As I drained the old gas out of the tank in my 69 prior to starting the
newly rebuilt engine, I noticed there was some rust inside (as looking into the
sending unit hole) and have decided to remove it and have it cleaned before I
do to much running of the new motor. I have looked at the shop manual, body
service, assembly manual and the Basics guide for instructions, but still
have a few questions I could use a little assistance on.

1. In removing the stabilizer bar, I can see you have to take it off each
end, but the two inner mounts can be removed either at the bar or where the
mount attaches above the bar to the body. Which is better/easier to remove and
reinstall?

2. Can all hoses be detached/reattached from underneath?

3. Will the tank drop down without removing or loosening the front
crossmember?

4. Any known problems/issues reinstalling?

5. Any hints for a person doing a first time tank removal?

By the way, I do have a four post lift to get the car in the air, so that is
not a problem. Thanks for the help.
