Not to be a total knucklehead, but hydrogen is FAR from easy or cheap to  
manufacture. It takes energy to produce hydrogen, LOTS of it. So, unless we have  
a VERY inexpensive source of energy, it'll never be economically feasible. 
Then  there's the issues around storage (even liquid hydrogen is only 7% as 
dense as  water), distribution, range, etc.
