<VV> Sound of thunder.... idea for a Lakewood custom....

Well, the only rear engined AWD cars I know of are 911 Carrera 4s and VW
Syncros. Subaru trannies have hypoid final drives, and can't be reversed.
Perhaps there are Audi transaxles that can have the ring gear flipped.
But it does beg the question, why? Corvairs are hardly hurting for
traction... And few have enough power where AWD would be useful...
Now, if you made it front engined, then Subaru parts might work... Be
prepared for a LOT of body work!

Has anyone done a 4 wheel drive custom Lakewood? Think of the
possibilities...!

Transplant the guts from a Legacy or a Forester maybe?

Or maybe an early S10 4wd?

Maybe a VW Synchro?

other candidates?

OK... the thunder has diminished and the clouds are thinning out....
