<VV> Rebuild II

One of the valve cover bolts broke off in the head while I was trying
to remove the cover when I started to do the second rebuild. I tried
to take out the remaining threaded part today while reinstalling the
valve covers in anticipation of manually doing an oil pressure/leak
check and that (bolt removal) was unsuccessful. Should I try to
carefully drill out the remaining part starting with a 1/16 and slowly
working my way up until it can be removed or is there a better method?

Also, I put a series of six super magnets in the Otto deep oil pan
using the attraction (powerful !) between the magnets to secure them on
the fins (tallest ones nearest the special deep oil pickup) as I want
to try to minimize the amount of iron fragments that are allowed to
circulate. I've done my best to clean (by hand) each and every part
that comes in contact with the oil in the system, but I want to do
everything I can think of in order to prevent another failure due to
debris from the first failure. Has anyone ever tried something like
this? I plan to pull the pan after the oil pressure check and see if
there has been any movement of the magnets and to examine them for
debris collection. I also bought a magnet capable of picking up
objects up to 65 lbs. that I intend to place on the outside bottom of
the oil filter. After the oil pressure check, I'm going to drain the
oil, discard the filter and do a check for debris (specifically iron
based) before attempting a start up before installation.
