Hey Guys,
PLease do me a favor and DON'T use the existence of my "F NADER" plate 
as an example that other states find it acceptable.  The fact of the 
matter is that I am pretty sure most states (especially mine, NY) would 
not approve the plate if they had people in DMV wise enough to be on to 
the joke.  If you trumpet the rest of us as an example, we're all just 
going to get screwed. Sorry, but that's the way it is.  The rules in NY 
are pretty clue that is anybody finds your plate offensive (i.e. 
bitches to DMV) you are hosed.  This is not a battle to choose I 
think...
