The only clearance issue you're likely to have with this tiny little 
tire will be between the bottom of the car and the ground, especially 
when the car is loaded. That will be the cause of that scraping sound 
you will hear!

Diameter of stock 6.50-13 tire on '65	-	about 24.5"

Diameter of 185/60-13 tire	-	about 21.7"

It will be like lowering your car about 1.4".

If this is what you're looking for, go for it. You just need to 
understand what you're doing. You also need to know you'll affect your 
speedometer and odometer a like amount. The speed that you used to go 
at 3,000 rpm will now require about 3,387 rpm too.
