Lonzo, this is real strange...but most likely your engine has been changed to 
higher compression at some time...

My 69..53k miles / 4 /3.27's, I did the 1st "O-ring" job on it.....refuses to 
ping..even though my distributor is recurved way steeper than a a140 dist... 
on 87...T-stats installed

The  PG  cars must be a different creature?
