<VV> "sealed" trunks

He just didn't do it right.  Steve Goodman tells a story about a car which came into his shop that some one poured concrete into the trunk to add weight.  No more adjusting the steering box or anything like that.  The last he heard of the car it was driving down the road when the rusted out trunk let go dropping the block of concrete to the road which the car ran over severely damaging the underside for the car.

  I knew a guy that helped his handling by dropping a 50 lb paper sack of  rock 
  salt into his Corvair's trunk. One day, a few years later, he  slammed the 
  trunk lid and heard a noise from below. It was the remainder of  the trunk floor 
  hitting the ground after 100% of the surrounding edges were  dissolved!
