There is NO WAY the stock classes should be diluted. Just look at any
other club that has done that, and you'll be hard-pressed to find ANY
true stock cars. The reason we have a restrictive stock class definition
is because *I* fought tooth and nail to prevent its being diluting, when
I wrote the original rules back in '74, and I have been proven
absolutely RIGHT! Yes, I'm tooting my own horn about it. It's something
I'm immensely proud of having accomplished. All diluting a strict stock
definition does is to result in the loss of our heritage, which starts
with STOCK cars.

Just so you all will know, I like ALL Corvairs. Stock, modified, race,
you name it (and yes, even those pesky prematurely developed earlies -
LOL). It's just that preserving stock, especially ORIGINALITY, is IMHO
the highest honor one can do the Corvair.
