Josh was flown back to the US yesterday from Germany to a hospital on the East Coast (I can't recall the name at the moment). The surgeons in Germany claim to have successfully removed all the schrapnel. They also found his rotator in his shoulder was broken along with the arm, wrist, and knee. He is stable and doing much better. His commanding officer called and said Josh was an excellent soldier and that he had planned to make Josh team leader. Also that he was put in for several medals. Either way he will be eventually be returning to Fort Cambell, Kentucky and released from service. He is in reasonable good spirits.
I would like to personally thank all those of you that responded and prayed for for him. There were some very good and uplifting letters. Josh has not owned a Corvair but has "borrowed" mine many times. Who knows after seeing all the responses from you guys he may regain interest while recovering. Again thank you all so very much.

I was informed today that my son, Josh Miller was severly wounded by a
homade roadside bomb while securing a road in Rhamadi. He was blown out
of his Humvee while in turret position. His flack jacket was blown off
ands has deep lacerations, a broken arm, schrapnel through his wrist,
knee joints. They are flying him to Germany for more extensive surgery.
This is all I know at this point. I would very much appreciate it of
those that know me, if you would drop my son an email that he might read
while recuperating. Please be positive in nature. Do not respond if you
are going to be negative about the war.....he doesn't need that right
now. His email is:
