This is from the days when a literal few dollars was a major issue...something like a new clutch cable was a major purchase then...not a problem these days...my annual income now is "slightly" more than what it was then as an undergrad student working for the university between classes...

Shortly thereafter I learned to grease the ball on the pivot point and have not had one break in maybe 25 years and an additional 170Kmiles of Corvair driving.
