No!!!!!    Vapor lock does NOT drain the fuel in the fuel bowls. This is 
why the  classic symptom of vapor lock in a Corvair is it restarts fine 
after hot  soak and then dies a block away.

Why do you think that it will die a block away?
Now think.......think
Isn't it because the engine will drain the bowls dry?
See you knew it all along.
To restart after the engine cools will require a LONG cranking  period.
