My original 1960 700 has a bezel that is the same color as the dash.  The
knobs on the radio are silver.  It is most definitely tube.  Only not
completely tube.  The output circuitry is transistorized with tubes used
in the "front end" of the radio.  I think this electronic configuration
ran through 1962.  Tony Underwood can probably give us more insight on
this.

Knob colors seem to vary by model from what I have seen.  The 500s had
black knobs.  Or possibly by whether they were dealer installed or
factory.

Housing pods should be the same color as the dash if from the factory or a
generice silvery gray if dealer installed.
