<VV> Padded dash...

On the assumption that you are talking about a late model, there is a cut
vinyl cover available from Clark's for covering a dash, but I found the end
result totally unsatisfactory. If you can afford it, rather strip the dash
completely down to bare metal, derust the metal base and have it
electroplated and install Clark's vinyl skin with foam replacement pad part
# C6710 priced from $186.30 to $195.60 depending on color. Black is the
cheaper and the only color that has the correct thickness vinyl skin. The
colors are all a little thicker and stiffer and require a heat gun for a
good fit.

On the early model, vacuum formed padded dashes are also available for
$201.30

Anyone have any idea if these padded dashes can be recovered. Do they
have to be stripped down to the metal?
