<VV> Why does eBay say you "won" ?

It's more fun to sit and watch the clock as it winds down, and nail it at
the last second. Just be sure your clock is synch'ed though.

The advantage of bidding at the last second is that you won't give someone
else time to bid umpteen times and never reach your max bid, and all he (or
she) does is raise the price you have to pay !

I've done the "bid what you want to pay and walk away" when I could not be
there for the end, only to find someone simply cost me another $80 before
the other bidder finally gave up on it.

The question is why does eBay say you "won" the item ? If I remember
correctly, I had to pay for everything I "won" on eBay.

I'm still looking for a nice LM convert but the shipping is going to kill me
!!!!
