I am writing this e-mail with the title in my hand so that I might give you the details correctly.

This is a Pennsylvania vehicle tite Issued just a few months ago. The designations are on the TITLE not the registration as a few suspected.

At the top of the title there is a Title Number. The title number has a suffix of DA. This is where you would also find a suffix of R for a vehicle that was totaled and then reconstructed... the feared "R" title...........

One inch or so below this is a box with "Title Brands". It gives a definition for each letter that could be attached to the title number.

A= Antique Vehicle
C= Classic Vehicle
D= Collectible Vehicle
F= Out of country
G= Originally Manufactured for non US distribution
H= Agricultural Vehicle
L= Logging Vehicle
P= is/was a police vehicle
R= RECONSTRUCTED
S= Street Rod
T= Recovered Theft vehicle
V= Vehicle contains reissued VIN
W= Flood vehicle
X= is/was a Taxi

My title designates DA Collectible Vehicle/Antique Vehicle

I did not request this be added to the title, and hadn't even noticed it until the other day. I suppose it is possible that the previous owner had requested these designations and they carried over, but I don't imagine that you get special designations on a title just by asking for them.

Hope this clears things up!
