Hank has given the correct repair, but here is my one part fits all repair:

Remove the glass now that is comes out easy, at least on a hardtop
model. Clean it well.

Remove the steel channel if possible. On many cars now it seems you must
bend part to get the roller or slide to disengage, but Corvairs just
slide apart.

Clean the steel channel if rusty and remove all the old rubber parts.

Reinstall the channel.

Fill the channel with windshield urethane.

Slide glass into the channel and roll the regulator to the top position
( glass closed).

Adjust (slide) glass for best fit to frame /vent window.

Double check fit as it will not come apart easily after the urethane dries.

Don't roll the window down for a day.
