ya bill i will agree with that. I'll tell you what, the pertronix has one major fault and that is the stud on the arm that goes into the vacuum advance is too soft, it really should have been hardened or another material used, i cant tell you how many of these i have seen worn down from working the advance unit so in my opinion that is a flaw in the system but i do love the unit but we should all remember it is electronics so always keep your old points plate with the points and condensor in the glove box  curt.
