Ron,,are you going for the "Murphy's Law" award? <gg>...it sounds like you're talking about the transmission-end,right?..the 'coupling' has a 'pin' connecting the tube assembly to the trans shift shaft that *should* come out easily...the only other 'pin' I can think of is holding the solid shaft (that has a keyway groove ) to the 'coupler',which isn't normally removed,,it's also got rubber between the shaft and coupling there,like a piece of heater hose,to absorb vibration...there is a 'tie-rod' clamp holding the solid shaft to the inner shift tube,and loosening it will allow you to slide the long tube out,,but ....**measure the distance the solid shaft sticks out of the inner tube***,it's the adjustment point;;mess that up,and you'll have trouble finding neutral,and some gears...Tom Z..//
