<VV> Modified vs. stock Corvairs

Stock fans are purists, root meaning of the word is pure, modified implies impure which always means BAD. Can you see the picture here. GGG

I just have to ask, why is it that many stock fans feel that modified Corvairs are "evil?" I can't remember ever hearing a modified Corvair owner referring to a stock Corvair as a bad thing. In fact, many of the modified owners also own a stock Corvair, myself included. I like and appreciate them both, for different reasons.
