<snip> Mike said: Only the Corsa 140s and turbos (only available in Corsas)
had the
threads for the thermistor. All others had threads for the switch. If
I'm not mistaken the Corsa snap switch had the same threads as the
thermistor. <unsnip>

Craig sez:
AFIK all 140 and 180 heads have the fine-thread, deep hole for the
thermister, even if the heads came in a 140 Monza or 500. All 95 and 110 heads have a
shallower, coarse-thread hole. Clarks sells an adapter for 95s and 110s so
that all heads can accept the GM thermister.

Having said that,
If it were me,
I'd put in a Corsa dash and get: Tach, clock, head temp, and trip odo out of
the deal. And, I'd convert the manifold pressure gauge (see my tech tip in
Communique a couple of years back) into a "factory" oil pressure gauge. Now
that's something!

If you HAVE to keep the 'ol Monza dash, use an aftermarket temp gauge with
the sender bolted to the factory temp thermister location. (so it won't get
damaged when changing spark plugs)

My 2 cents
Craig N.
