Gentlemen, is it possible that when David reinstalled the side cover on the 
transmission that one or both of the shifter forks went in crooked and is not 
allowing the transmission to shift? If the problem is internal the cover will 
have to be removed anyway and it is a lot easier than removing the 
transmission. I wrote "is it possible"  because I am not sure if the cover will seat 
solidly if a fork is not in the right position.  Comments from experience are 
welcomed. Thanks
