<VV> Vapor Lock or Fuel Pump NOT!

Yes, popping can be from a lean condition. I have not seen a vapor lock
when running, as usually the gas stays cool enough to not vaporize while
flowing. The vapor lock cases I have seen involve a hot soak (going into
a store for 10 minutes and restarting the car, go a block and it dies).

There is also the possibility of dirt in the fuel line, although one
would think this would show up more with crusing at 60 than idle at stop
light.

Have you checked the points?
