Hey Barry, Think a little outside the box. Go to home depot or your 
Dad's stash and get a piece of
PVC plumbing pipe like a collar. Put some foam insulation on the carb 
end to help make a non leaking seal
and stick your unisyn on the top of the PVC collar. I have this setup 
made for Darth and Beef so we
clear the vent stacks.............simple and very portable. By the 
way your vent stacks should be angled slightly
in toward the center of the carb throat so there is clearance for the 
original air horn or individual carb air filters.
I hope this helps solve yours and other owners problem with the UniSyn fitment.
