FWIW

I have flat towed Corvairs a total of at least 10K miles with no problems. I 
made a tow bar that will attach to the holes for the bumper brackets. Remove 
the front bumper, install the tow bar and go. Ususally towed with a 
Greenbrier (before I bought a trailer). Now that I think about it I have had 
more trouble with the trailer than I did flat towing.
