<VV> Orientation of the top engine vent/baffle plate that sits below the top engine cover

I want to know which side of the engine that the top vent should face? Drivers or Passenger side? This is not the actual top engine cover (with the vent tube and blower bearing, that has the vent tube on the passenger side) this is the vent/baffle plate that sits below that cover. Engine is a late model.
