The bearings should be available at most industrial supply Houses also better Auto supply stores . You will have to take the old Bearings to match numbers , if they don't have parts books that go back that far .  
If the spindle is worn , you can get it built up at Machine shops that do Crankshaft work . That have some kind of metal that can be sprayed on and than turned down back to Std .  I have seen this done some years ago on Crank Shafts . However I don't know if it still used .
