Here is a strange question. I just filled my 69 vert today, it was below 1/4 on the guage but only took 7.8 gallons to fill. The gauge reads full. I always manually fill the tank w/o the pump hold down since it always splashed back quite a bit of gas. I slowly filled till it kicked off.
