<VV> FC wheel rims

I'm not anything close to an expert of FCs.

I relate this only because it may help those who need more information
and/or may create a need to respond from those who actually HAVE the
specific correct information, but were reluctant to respond.

When I first put tires on my FC (a '61 rampside) - in the process - I found
that one rim was different from the others. One of the 4 "on the ground
wheels" had a serious dent so I decided to use the spare rim and that is
what caused me to find....

When I tried to mount the "spare" on the RF, it was touching SOMETHING and
would not turn. SFAIK, it was rubbing on the tie rod end. But, I cannot say
that with certainty. I did not measure the various wheels, but (from sight)
recollect (a word?) that I could see that there was a difference from THAT
one to the others.

Somewhere along the line - in trying to figure out what was going on - it
was mentioned to me (don't know who) that FCs had 2 different wheels and
that you need to "watch out" for that.

My solution to my particular problem at that time was that I turned my one
"odd" wheel into the spare with the thought (and I tested it) that if I ever
had a flat on a front tire... I would have to move a rear wheel to the front
in order to make my "spare" useable (at the rear).

If you have read this far.....

Was the info I had (10 yrs? ago) correct? Were there 2 different set backs
(backspace if you prefer) on the FC wheels? Mr. BH, have you done FC
research or is someone else doing that?
