See the link herein to read about Amsoil 10w40 Synthetic oil (AMO). I recommend using 20w50 (ARO) in the summer in the S and W and 10/40 in the winter.

You'll find these are low wear oils; I have used them for many years on flat tappet engines w/o the slightest problems. After 96,000 on my Toy diesel PU, a sohc riding directly atop the valves, similar to many motorcycle engines, required NO valve adjustment having only one exhaust 1MM out of tolerance. I used to race a 65 turbo using the 20w50 and experienced no mechanical problems at all. I currently drive a flat tappet 4.3 Blazer with 170,000 and all is well, still holding 60+ lbs oil pressure.

AMSOIL also has a supurb 75w90 for the transaxle. (MTG)

For those who prefer some sorts of friction modifiers in addition, try the Diesel oils, 15w40 (AME) or 5w40 (DEO) which are even better at resisting bore polishing; also extended life oils.

Wix oil filters (no. 51038) are also avbl, fit perfectly, and are high quality.

Just put the letters in parens in the search engine and the site will take you to the correct page for each oil.
