the average way to swap in a 3.8 SC is use the trans, cradle, computer, 
and everything (those five speed Getrags are real nice about here) and 
just bolt in the cradle -- maybe for a Vair, you stop the swap about the 
middle of the half shaft and fab up some new shafts, strut rods, and 
mounts; maybe modify a Fiero cradle ...

yeah, when you go to "bolt up the cradle", the holes will be gone, but 
that is where the project gets interesting, and no worries about which 
way everything turns (just don't put it in backwards).
