Well, in industry, plastic lines like this are used all over the place. The  
biggest issue I've seen with these push fittings is over time, a few will  
leak at the O rings. A familiar Corvair problem! <g>
 
Copper refrigeration tubing with soldered joints will work just fine. If  
only copper weren't so damn expensive.

not  sure how i like plastic for high pressure air stuff..i have over 200 ft  
 
of copper in my shop and house now. 
but the pex tubing is the nuts for  water plumbing. the tubing is  priced 
right , but fittings are  pricey.
anyone try this stuff yet?
