<VV> Towing a 4 speed

I have used a dolly several times and each and every time (whether 
towing forwards or backwards) I've experienced a dangerous oscillation 
above 50-55mph. 100% of the time. With different brands of dollies and 
different tow vehicles. And every time I've been helping someone tow 
with a dolly they have always had the same issues.... following one I 
could tell our speed by looking at the sway of the car instead of my speedo.

I've always wondered what is being done differently by all those folks 
who report troublefree dolly towing.

In any case, I much much prefer trailer towing, but would flat tow (PG 
or manual) before I'd ever use a dolly again.
