<VV> '65 High rpm when started

I had a screw come out of my linkage and cause the throttle not to close all
the way.
It wasn't obvious and took a little looking around to see that it wasn't
returning all the way due to the blockage.
I would start there....remove air cleaner and check visually that all 4
carbs are closed at rest....

Subject: <VV> '65 High rpm when started
I have a '65 2 dr. cpe w/ a 140hp/4spd. Got it back from the paint shop and
have been putting the chrome back on. It ran like a champ on the way home
from the shop, but after sitting a mere 6 days in the garage, I charged it
up, started it, and the engine immediately went into high rpms with no let
down. I tried starting it a few more times with same results.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
